The Leipzig cabaret has existed since 1966 and has transformed from a student cabaret into a well-known professional cabaret. The academixer cellar serves as a venue for the in-house ensemble as well as guest performances by other artists and cabarets – since 1991 also the European Humor and Satire Festival Lachmesse.
