With its opening in 1997, Leipzig once again had an international variety theater, whose name had stood for over 60 years in European variety theater history since 1882, representing one of the most glamorous and largest venues. In addition to international variety shows, the theater also hosts the annual Newcomershow – Germany's most prestigious variety festival.
